RTE radio and television are..

...very good at leading social change and addressing social and political problems but they are not so good at dealing with corruption, particularly in their own organisation,or at exposing clerical concupiscence with Fine Gael. One objectionable aspect of RTE's broadcasts is the dovetailing of incompatible interests and parties-nothing can conceal that uncomfortable fact-and BBC Northern Ireland attempt to do the same with even less success or discernment. This occurs vis-a-vis rival groups, parties and organisations. ( BBC Northern Ireland is run from London on behalf of the British Foreign Office. Its political commentators are agents of the  British Government working in tandem with unionist politicians and the Home Office. No-one else apart from British Government politicians regulate the BBC). Apart from an occasional left-of-centre report (though there are many reports on social issues),RTE reporting is about fifty years out of date in content and thinking. Let us be g...

It is...

... people who are looking for work and have no other source or sources of income or support who drive economic growth not the world market, the discovery of America or any other fancy idea or notion, such as new political developments like Keynesianism or free market economics or growth strategies...apart from the useless Poles who when they are asked to work show you their fat arses because they would not work in a fit...generations of high-powered religion taught them to be lazy and take each day as it comes and the Lithuanians and other East Europeans are the same... A belt or stick should be taken to their wives who tell them to save the best for bedtime. Only the Romanians are different. They're trained in Germany and on large farms and they have some very good engineers and technicians who you never read about in the English and Irish press, just as good as the Germans and Americans... .... All employers attempt to replace labour costs of native workers with cheap labour. In G...

The British welfare system of social security and health

The British Welfare State model is not the way forward for the South of Ireland,be well advised because it is not suited to the conditions of a state founded one hundred years ago today,a country which lacks the rudiments of lawful government. My criticism of Britain and its NHS focusses largely on contrived welfare dependence, not, truthfully, the public health service or the Labour Party of England and Wales or Scotland. It is clear to trade unionists that a good few British welfare claimants should be sent to work in the remaining factories, the large farms and thriving businesses, not gather dust in an environment not created for human fulfilment or peaceful enjoyment of leisure and education.. Ours are the effects of neo-liberal policies,a wasted generation,Thatcher's children all around with neither a head for facts or figures nor any experience of work or earning an honest livelihood nor plying a trade, occupation or career on some foreign soil... ... 16.10.2022 Consider the ple...
