RTE radio and television are..

...very good at leading social change and addressing social and political problems but they are not so good at dealing with corruption, particularly in their own organisation,or at exposing clerical concupiscence with Fine Gael.

One objectionable aspect of RTE's broadcasts is the dovetailing of incompatible interests and parties-nothing can conceal that uncomfortable fact-and BBC Northern Ireland attempt to do the same with even less success or discernment. This occurs vis-a-vis rival groups, parties and organisations. ( BBC Northern Ireland is run from London on behalf of the British Foreign Office. Its political commentators are agents of the  British Government working in tandem with unionist politicians and the Home Office. No-one else apart from British Government politicians regulate the BBC).

Apart from an occasional left-of-centre report (though there are many reports on social issues),RTE reporting is about fifty years out of date in content and thinking.

Let us be grateful for small mercies, however. Consider the appalling Blueshirt tripe on Southern commercial news broadcasts or what passes for current affairs programming.

Nobody has a monopoly of the truth and my fulminations against doctors and police and what I call imperialism and political medicine are only one side of a manifold society.

My views in truth, are about a Southern economic  model of society which cannot be sustained. It is organised and legislated for by another country and most Irish people regard that other country' s interests as antipathetic to our society and its people as part of a different country.
