RTE radio and television are..

..amidst all the state-led Irish-ry and sterling praise for children of a lesser kind very good at leading social change and addressing social and political problems but they are not so good at dealing with corruption, particularly in their own organisation,or at exposing clerical concupiscence with Fine Gael. On the real nature of economics, capital accumulation which underlies modern society, the in-house journalists do not have a single critical idea or comment.

.....

An objectionable aspect of RTE's broadcasts is the dovetailing of incompatible interests and parties-nothing can conceal that uncomfortable fact-and BBC Northern Ireland attempt to do the same with even less success and discernment. This occurs vis-a-vis rival groups, parties and organisations. (BBC Northern Ireland is run from London on behalf of the British Foreign Office. Its political commentators are agents of the British Government working in tandem with unionist politicians and the Home Office. No-one else apart from British Government politicians regulate the BBC).

Apart from an occasional left-of-centre political report- there are many reports on social issues-RTE reporting is about fifty years out of date in content and thinking.

However, let us be grateful for small mercies. Consider the appalling Blueshirt tripe on Southern commercial news broadcasts and what passes for current affairs commentary in the liberal media.

Nobody has a monopoly of the truth and my fulminations against doctors and police and what I call imperialism and political medicine in the North and Southern  reaction are only two sides of a manifold reality.

My views here are about a Southern economic  model of society which cannot be reported properly and fully because it is organised and legislated for by another country,in essence. Most Irish people regard that other country and its interests as antipathetic to our society and its people.

Whereas most of the BBC's broadcasts are based on iteration or constant repetition, RTE's broadcasts are based on explication or apologia pro vitae eius.

That is to say,one set of broadcasters get their news and information from rentboys and worn-out old 'queens' and the other gets its bright-spark ideas about national identity and Irish Unity from the back of a bookies slip or an envelope at Fairyhouse Racecourse or Murrayfield Rugby Ground when the crowds are still hovering around after some feat of sporting derring-do between Ulster and the Scarletts.

.....

The constant reporting of chauvinistic comments and news items about a police-ridden broadcasting system of public discourse is indicative of a society which is stuck in the 1920's.

Journalists privately defer to Garda thugs and Irish Army hooligans. The latter regulate their employment and news content.

Our country must have a social revolution to turn police rule and Irish Army diktat on its head. Our country has not emerged from the shadow thrown over it by colonialism and has never found an independent path.

If the Shoneen Republic cannot advance independently of itself it must be taken in tow by outside parties whose assistance it has invoked, countries with which it shares mutual interests and a common background.

Basta! Non sequire!

......

As regards the United States and it's wars of rape and plunder, what is meant by the US President possibly renewing "strikes on Iran"?

Surely you mean armed gangsterism and murderous hooliganism in defiance of international law and mutual obligations to conduct diplomacy peacefully?

These are not "military strikes",Ms Mitchell, these are VIOLENT ATTACKS on men, women and children and property which pose no threat to the United States.

These are brutal and barbaric attacks by an armed aggressor,an aggressor which will have to be faced down with the threat of nuclear annihilation and mass destruction. The US in association with England have attacked and despoiled countless countries and domains and their rule of terror must be brought to an end.

RTE journalists, you are party as ever to crimes against humanity. You must be drunk or high on drugs like the people you encouraged to attack their neighbours in the North of Ireland.
