Dental care in the Republic. A case for public dental care provision
The quick fix solution of putting monofluoride in the water supply to prevent tooth decay has run its course if the concomitant rise in oral,testicular,colon and skin problems including cancer is a guide. Time to make a clean breast of it and introduce free dental care provision to all under eighteen years of age in Ireland,North and South.Likewise,full provision for the poor and marginalised and low-paid. Orthodontics paid for by the state,in the sense that it is cosmetic, rather than restorative care for criminal injury? No! An expensive luxury for the individual and society. Merely writing a blank cheque for those greedy dentists such as the Mc Enhills who already have far too much money. Those parasites are in the private sector because they don't measure up to a minimum standard of competence, using as they do cheap,non-contractual dental implant components. They fail to meet standards of professional probity,reporting some of their clients to the police at the drop of a hat....
