Inequality,North and South

 It is often said by the knowledgeable Northerner and poor and beaten-down Southerner, "The big fellow gets it all in the South". He says that it is a society based on greed, gluttony and ripping people off at every level. It is a society based on rank poverty and great stores of idle money which is not in real circulation in the sense that it is invested in industry and commerce. It is a society where only government using the levers of fiscal controls can prevent complete ossification.

Much of modern privateers wealth is sourced from technical theft and financial espionage.

We count amongst those who have expropriated the technique of others without payment, Denis O Brien and the Indian parasites,the Hindustani brothers. Their riches are built on unlawful expropriation of the inventions of others. I say," Seize their assets and deport them!"

How are we to cope with the problem of social parasitism?

We have to bear down on not just businessmen who steal technical ideas but the lawyers and doctors and judges and private security firms who are their "eyes and ears".

 In social and political matters,the Northern police-medical state and Southern bourgeois governments are the guardians of privilege.

My field of knowledge is freedoms and medical privilege.

With a strike wave upon us,let us focus on expenditure from the public purse to psychiatric hospital consultants. They are aggressive and defame their patients invariably. Their dangerous remarks are being subsidised by the taxpayer.

Let us deport the Indian and Asian and European doctor. Those people are offenders against the basic norms of a civilised society. 

Let us,in return for student grants and medical training,tie our medical students to our country if necessary invoking public policy exemptions from the EU Treaties on free movement of labour. Having got rid of the rough, ignorant, unmannerly Indian country 'squires' our own doctors might treat us better. Stricter controls on medical libel and hospital violence are required.

In recent years it is all too evident that Western countries are retracting from unhindered international trade. Trade 'wars' have been with us for at least two decades,so let us take the opportunity to impose greater strictures on the movement of medical, dental and nursing personnel.

On the broader picture will there be a New Year for the 'captive',the worker?

We do not know. We must strive for greater social equity and legal justice in the face of an entrenched class of Asian and European doctors, the ventriloquist's dummies and the medical piccaninnies.

The Unemployment Assistance payment in the South is a universal subsistence allowance. The payment is not adequate for normal living in a society where the real economic initiative is fading and the power of dead capital and house prices are rising.  Purchasing power parities are becoming ever greater when we compare Northern subsistence payments to social security in the South.

The reason that Irish Government social security payments are so low and miserable is that there are many hardened drinkers whose lives would be in danger if reckless social spending prevailed.

The dilemma is how to help the needy keep their heads above water without indulging a chronic alcoholic and furnishing him with the means for self-destruction.

This dilemma is an almost impossible conundrum to solve so let us move to the British model and impose differential welfare entitlements and fund the needy modestly but not at starvation levels as is currently the case in the South.

The Southern state is forty or fifty years behind Britain in terms of rights before the courts and access to justice.

In the round, we should not have public medicine on the British model because of the prevalent conditions of a police dictatorship in the South.

While the Gardai exercise political preponderance in the formation of social frameworks and have unrestricted prerogatives which determine rights of association and free speech and freedom of conscience,only a pig would propose public medicine. Former revolutionaries use psychiatry to suppress dissent. The Gardai use psychiatry to suppress opposition to the comprador trade unionists and wishy washy old nationalist seigneurs.
