The question of high-rise public housing

High-rises should not be built out of public money nor should planning permission be granted for these buildings as dwellings.

We are stupid people-and Aodhan O Riordain is typical of the type-if we think that we can avoid the social problems associated with these buildings. I consider O Riordain to be an fool  who has bought into fashionable ecological notions about land use. He thinks that normal existence is possible in such buildings and unlicensed fire-traps.

Let public money be spent on houses fit for human beings, not future drugs-dens and ghettos of the poor.

If O Riordain is so keen on high-rises,let him go and live in one himself.

O Riordain's latest bright-spark idea is the medical solution to the drugs problem.

Let us be clear, those of us who do not lose our mind in a rush to judgement, there should be a sympathetic response with the THREAT OF A CRIMINAL SANCTION. Nothing less, nothing more,is required.

Once again,a party which agrees with high-rises,proposes a National Security Agency, mass psychiatric incarceration to keep a few pigs in comfortable homes and luxury cars and public medicine in Irish conditions,is a party which has lost the plot if it ever had it.

A GOBSHITE such as O Riordain who talks about mental health as a recipe for homeless people is a sinister type like his namesake. He is a man who is not in full possession of his senses.

The problem of homelessness is caused by Gardai, public authorities and private landlords.

In the Banana Republic,Fine Gael gobshites hold forth on the wit and wisdom of the country bumpkin or poisoned old woman.

Failure to control the Gardai or license bailiffs lies at the heart of the problems in Tory Ireland.

In my experience people who dwelt in tenements in Dublin turned out just as well as anybody else and the same goes for the people of the East End and Dublin Corporation dwellings. Pay no heed to people such as Dominic Behan and Sean O Casey, that wasn't his real name,or clowns such as revolutionary communists or fools such as urban reformers. When change is necessary, change will come. Any law-governed state or Prime Minister will see to that when the time is opportune and financial conditions are favourable..

Why are there so many lurid accounts to the contrary and acres of newspaper space claiming differently?

It is because all philosophers are at heart bent journalists who make a living out of writing silly screeds that nobody reads apart from a few space cadets hanging around bars and public houses in Belfast,Derry and Dublin.

With a little bit of early disciple a child will turn out properly and that requires getting rid of Kennedy's laws on parental governance and fools such as Garret Fitzgerald's silly statutes.
